Durable tumor control with stereotactic radiotherapy and doxorubucin-ifosfamide chemotherapy in primary intracranial sarcoma, DICER1-mutant: a case report. (PubMed, Int Cancer Conf J)
The patient remained in complete remission 40 months after the completion of chemoradiotherapy and 51 months after the initial surgery. This case demonstrates that stereotactic radiotherapy combined with doxorubicin-ifosfamide chemotherapy can achieve durable tumor control in PIS-DICER1, suggesting a potential therapeutic option for this highly aggressive tumor.

Fulminant growth of primary pericardial synovial sarcoma despite partial resection: a case report. (PubMed, Eur Heart J Case Rep)
She received one cycle of anthracycline-ifosfamide chemotherapy but developed airway compromise and died on hospital day 34. This case illustrates the rapid progression and poor prognosis of primary pericardial synovial sarcoma, emphasizing that early recognition with multimodality imaging and timely surgical evaluation are crucial, as unresectable disease carries poor outcomes with current systemic therapies.

Axial Round Cell Sarcoma Harboring a Non-ETS EWSR1 Rearrangement: Diagnostic Challenges and Clinical Implications. (PubMed, Cureus)
Surgical resection and cervicothoracic fixation were performed, followed by radiotherapy (30 Gy/10 fractions) and Ewing-based chemotherapy (doxorubicin/ifosfamide). Local recurrence occurred despite multimodal therapy. This case highlights the clinical and diagnostic challenges associated with EWSR1-rearranged non-ETS sarcomas, which exhibit distinct molecular behaviors, morphology, and treatment responses compared to classical Ewing sarcoma.

Ifosfamide-Induced Encephalopathy in a Very Young Child With Rhabdomyosarcoma: Case Report and Literature Review. (PubMed, J Pediatr Hematol Oncol)
IIE is a rare but severe side effect of ifosfamide infusion, and clinical manifestations in children may be misunderstood. We speculate that pharmacogenetic testing may be warranted in very young children to prevent severe IIE.

A natural nephroprotective adjuvant for cancer chemotherapy: Rosmarinic acid disrupts IL-17 A-Ferroptosis coupling in Ifosfamide-induced renal injury. (PubMed, Med Oncol)
RA co-treatment (50 mg/kg) significantly reversed all functional, biochemical, and histological damage by strategically breaking this crosstalk, restoring redox homeostasis, and simultaneously restraining both cell death programs. In conclusion, RA protects against IFA nephrotoxicity by targeting the critical inflammation-ferroptosis coupling, positioning it as a highly promising adjuvant candidate for clinical use to mitigate IFA-induced renal injury.

Activity of chemotherapy in mesenchymal chondrosarcoma: a multicentre retrospective analysis within the Italian Sarcoma Group network. (PubMed, ESMO Open)
This multicentre study confirms that anthracycline-based regimens show activity in MCS, with responses more in line with soft tissue sarcoma than Ewing sarcoma. Their benefit in localized disease remains uncertain, but (neo)adjuvant chemotherapy with Ewing-like regimens should be considered for patients eligible for surgery. In advanced disease, trabectedin may provide prolonged disease control after anthracyclines.

Primary Renal Synovial Sarcoma: A Report of a Rare Case and Management Approach. (PubMed, Cureus)
Postoperatively, the patient received adjuvant chemotherapy with the AIM (doxorubicin, ifosfamide, and mesna) regimen. Given the extreme rarity of PRSS, we discuss the diagnostic challenges, molecular characteristics, and treatment approach adopted at our institution, contributing to the limited but growing body of knowledge on this rare entity.

Ewing Sarcoma of the Maxilla: An Uncommon Anatomical Presentation in a Young Patient. (PubMed, Cureus)
The patient underwent subtotal maxillectomy with intraoperative margin assessment, achieving complete surgical excision with histologically negative margins, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy with epirubicin, cisplatin, and ifosfamide, as well as localized radiotherapy. At 18 months of clinical and radiologic follow-up, there was no evidence of local recurrence, with preserved oral function and satisfactory aesthetic outcomes on clinical evaluation. This report highlights the importance of considering malignant small round cell tumors in rapidly enlarging maxillofacial lesions and emphasizes the role of multidisciplinary management in achieving sustained local disease control while preserving postoperative function.

Case Report: Recurrent phyllodes tumor of the breast with progressive malignant transformation. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
The patient underwent a modified radical mastectomy and three cycles of postoperative systemic chemotherapy with a combination of ifosfamide and cisplatin, which was well-tolerated. This case highlights the progression of PTB from benign to malignant and suggests that elevated Ki-67 and abnormalities in MDM2/p53 could serve as potential molecular markers. For patients with multiple recurrences or heterogeneous PTB components, individualized treatment strategies are recommended, with reference to soft tissue sarcoma protocols to optimize prognosis.

Expanding the spectrum of AFF2 undifferentiated sarcoma associated to endometriosis: a novel ZDHHC9::AFF2 fusion sarcoma with high-grade features and poor prognosis. (PubMed, Pathologica)
The patient underwent chemotherapy with epirubicin and ifosfamide but experienced recurrence with lymph node and peritoneal involvement and succumbed to the disease after 9 months. Moreover, it identifies a novel fusion, which may have implications for tumor classification and diagnostic refinement. The morphological findings also suggest a possible association with poor clinical outcomes.

TROP-2 Promotes Cell Proliferation via the AKT-Mediated PKCα Pathway and Is a Novel Target for Antibody-Drug Conjugates in Penile Carcinoma. (PubMed, Oncol Res)
Current chemotherapy treatments, including the TIP (Taxol, Ifosfamide, Cisplatin) regimen, have shown limited effects but strong side effects in advanced Penile squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) patients. Furthermore, compared with cisplatin, TROP-2 targeted ADC could achieve an equivalent inhibitory effect on the proliferation of PSCC both in vivo and in vitro. TROP-2 promoted PSCC cell proliferation via AKT/PKCα-dependent pathway, and TROP-2-targeted ADC-drug has a gratifying inhibitory effect on PSCC proliferation both in vivo and in vitro.

Prostatic Solitary Fibrous Tumor With Pulmonary Metastases: A Case Report. (PubMed, Cureus)
Both lung lesions were surgically resected, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy with ifosfamide and doxorubicin. This case emphasizes that even histologically benign-appearing prostatic SFTs can demonstrate malignant potential. It also underscores the necessity of long-term surveillance and contributes to the literature by reporting the first known case of a metastatic SFT originating from the prostate gland.
