These findings indicated that 0.1 THz radiation effectively induced apoptosis in SCC-7 cells by triggering mitochondrial dysfunction and ROS generation, which led to the release of AIF. Furthermore, the dysregulation of AIF in CSCC tissues suggested its potential as a promising biomarker.
